Government First Grade College, Shikaripura or GFGC Shikaripura is one of the known colleges situated in Shikaripura of Karnataka. This affiliated college was established in 1980, and therefore, it has been in operation for more than 40 years. GFGC Shikaripura is located in a infrastructural campus of 18.5 acres where the college provides number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses to the students. Currently the college is accredited with National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), this is in line with the colleges quest to offer quality education. The institution is overall enrolling 2,243 students and it has 26 teachers which make good student-teacher ratio. GFGC Shikaripura has made available 15 courses in 7 degree programmes with an intention to cover different areas of specialisation to suit every students’ choice of field.

The core of these complex is a three-story library building For the moment its stock on the first floor comprises 38 753 books, 19 journals and 15 magazines.
