The Government First Grade College, Sulibele (GFGCS) is co-educational institution which was started in the year 2007. Affiliated to the Bangalore University, the college is in Hoskote Taluk, Bangalore Rural District of Karnataka and occupies an area of 5 acres. GFGCS is affiliated to the Karnataka State Board of Pre University Education and additionally the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited the college. With a faculty member ratio of 8, GFGCS has limited number of students for providing institution and individualised education. Government First Grade College pride in having attained many a facility to increase student comfort in GFGCS. There are more than 12,000 books in arts, commerce, languages, and general stream, and necessary newspapers local and national are subscribed. Thanks to that, the college has a very good hardware policy, and students are able to utilise modern technologies in their studies. For practical purposes, each department has its specific laboratory. There are also facilities in the campus that relate to exercises and more to do with the exercising spirit of students and team spirit. Training and placement cell work for the students where they focus on preparing the students for their future careers. Besides, there are numerous parking lots available for using by faculty, staff, and students.
The college total of six full time undergraduate courses. This consists of, three BA programmes with different options in specialisation, a B.Com programme, a B.Sc in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, and a BBM (Bachelor of Business Management) programme. They are all structured to take three years as the standard length of the programs in University system. The total student intake is about 215, although the resulting intake numbers for individual courses are not revealed. The college was established with considerable aims and objectives emphasising its pursuit of quality education in art, commerce and science and with view to make the students fit for various vocational fields.
The admission process of the Government First Grade College, Sulibele is simples and no students with disabilities would be left behind.
