Government First Grade College Turuvekere (GFGCT) is an accredited institution eventually situated in the district of Tumkur in Karnataka state. It was started in 1987 as a co-educational institution and serves a goal of grooming the youth for more than 30 years. GFGCT is a large school occupying a 10 acre plot that provide students with an environment in which learning can take place. This colleges have been accredited to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council [NAAC], further enhancing our quality. Currently, GFGCT has 437 students enrolled and includes 10 faculty staff, which allow them to offer a beneficial student-faculty ratio.

Government First Grade College has places meant to complement on learning process, while in the college. A well equipped library provides knowledge arena where students get an essence of different kinds of books and material. The college boasts of fully equipped laboratories with an aim of enhancing practical lessons that are conducted in various field of study. Students interested in sports and other sporting activities shall be provided with wonderful sporting facilities at GFGCT. The college auditorium is used as a cultural activity hub, seminar, workshops, and other educational activities. To take care of students and staff meal requirements there is a cafeteria in campus. The college also has a concern for the total well being of students with a health centre complete with first aid amenities. As a result of the company’s commitment to embracing the new technology the GFGCT has enhanced strong IT facilities and the students are equally prepared to tackle the new limited world.

All in all, GFGCT provides 8 undergraduate programmes, which consist of 8 courses in 4 degrees. Every course here is full time in order to ensure students have the best experience and knowledge that they can handle. College provides a course in the Arts (BA), Commerce (B.Com.), Science (B.Sc.), and Business Administration (BBA). These programmes are meant to be as diverse as the possible interests and future occupations the students may except from their further studies.
