Government First Grade College, Turvihal is a co-educational college located at Sindhanoor, Karnataka. It conducts undergraduate courses in Arts and Commerce. Degree wise Admission Process

B.Com : Government First Grade College, Turvihal provides an undergraduate course in Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com). It is a three-year course, covering finance, accounting, and all other aspects in commerce studies. Since B.Com admission will be based on merits at the 10+2 level, much attention is given to the stream pursued at that level, mainly commerce-related subjects.

BA: The college offers three variations of the Bachelor of Arts (BA) programs:

1. BA in History, Economics, and Political Science: It covers three basic social science disciplines to ensure an integrated view of history, economy, and political phenomena in society.
2. BA in History, Political Science, and Optional Kannada: The course includes study in history, political science along with Kannada literature, hence the students would get both regional language and culture, and the scope for social science also.
3. BA History, Political Science, and English as Optional: This course is same as the above one but has English as optional subject instead of Kannada which is apt for students who are willing to enhance their knowledge of the language along with social sciences.

For all BA courses, admission is given on the marks secured in the qualifying 10+2 examination. However, there is a consideration for the subjects taken at the higher secondary level.
