Government First Grade College, Yelburga or GFGC Yelburga came into existence in the year 1986. This co-educational college is situated in Koppal district of Karnataka and self financed and NAAC affiliated college. GFGC Yelburga campus spread over an area of 2.29 acres and offering a wide range of undergraduate programs. This college has a total student enrolment capacity of 1035 and faculty of 9 members that enable student friendly environment. It provides 9 courses in 4 degrees in arts, commerce, science streams to serve every academic and career need effectively.

Facilities in GFGC Yelburga include facilities to support students’ learning experience to produce its best version. The college library with over 12000 books and newspapers, has a stock of as many as 18000 books out of which several are reference books. This also inculcates internet browsing, photocopying services and a special area for students and teachers. The sports department is big equipped with volley ball, kabaddi and badminton courts making the student physically fit and sports minded. The college's IT infrastructure includes 18 desktops, 3 projectors, and 3 tabs, with a student-computer ratio of 50:1. Other important infrastructures include a medical center for treatment of first aid related injuries, a canteen for subsidized meals, car parking space for vehicles, laboratories, a fully equipped hall for 150 students’ seating, and separate hostels for the boys and the girls.
