Government Girls Polytechnic Ballia, was established in the year 2004 affiliated to Acharya Narendra Dev University, Sultanpur, Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. Established in 1962, the institute is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education solely for women. spread across a 6 acre campus , Polytechnic college has its total admission capacity of 258 and faculties 14 in number. Currently, the institute offers three full time diploma courses and one postgraduate diploma in electronics engineering information technology and computer application. 

The polytechnic has up to date facilities to enhance its educational activities and functions. The college has fully equipped computerized air conditioning and broadband internet connection and video projection facility for each lab and all the necessary latest facilities required for a student are available in this college.
