Government Hamidia Arts and Commerce College, situated in Bhopal was established in 1946 and today it is one of the oldest and reputed educational institute of central India particularly Madhya Pradesh. This college for both boys and girls located in a campus area of 7.169 acres is an affiliated college recognised by NAAC. It has been over seven decades since the college was started, and it has emerged as one of the most critical institutions of higher learning given that it has been offering 32 courses in eight degree programmes. This institution offers education to four thousand, eight hundred and thirty students, by fifty-nine dedicated members of faculty.

M.Com: Admission into the Master's in Commerce program follows a merit basis formed from the marks obtained in their B.Com or equivalent degree.
Ph.D.: The college offers Ph.D. programs in Economics, Sociology, Political Science, History, Hindi Literature, English Literature, Sanskrit, Urdu, Philosophy, Drawing and Painting, Geography, and Commerce. The procedure for selection of Ph.D. candidates shall be rigorous and will include entrance tests and personal interviews conducted by the respective departments.
