The GITT or Government Institute of Textile Technology, Guntur is an independent institute coming into existence from 1986 to develop talent in the fields of Textile Technology. This affiliated college is situated in Guntur in the region of Andhra Pradesh and works under the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approval. GITT is a small institute established on a narrow and limited land area of 4 acres to provide a specific learning atmosphere to the budding textile professional.
