Government Kolasib College, Kolasib, founded in 1978 is a leading college in the state of Mizoram in India. This affiliated college, approved by the National University Consultant Learning & Internal Quality Assurance Cell, NAAC, has a wide spectrum of undergraduate programs in arts and science stream. Located in a 7.7 acres land the college has total student population of 544 and teaching faculty of 28 members. Government Kolasib College with 14 different courses across 3 different degrees offers a rich academic experience and most areas of focus include English, Mizo, Education, Geography, Physics and Computer Applications.

This Government Kolasib College is in a place of ensuring that the environment in which the students study is most conducive. That is why, it provides a list of amenities necessary for students’ academic and personal development. The campus also provided different hostels for the male and female students so that those students from out station are provided comfortable accommodation. Government Kolasib College provides 14 courses for which are all full time under graduate courses. The course offerings span across three main streams: The Undergraduate Degree courses include Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) and Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA). Specialisations based on the B.A programme include English, Mizo, Education, Geography, History, Political Science, Economics, and Public Administration. The B.Sc programme comprises significant subjects in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Zoology, and Botany. Besides, for students interested in computers, the college has newer under graduate programme called BCA as well. The number of students in each course while not quantified is 544 for the total programmes throughout the courses being offered.

As such, Kolasib College is an integrated type merit college. The college was accepting CUET UG and the students can get admission to the college based on the score of the examination. This entry test is a crucial national level written examination that makes a difference while providing an equal standardisation on students from across the country. Though this is not specific on scholarship offered the college could be having other ways of helping deserving students financially.
