Government Law College, Chengalpattu was set up in the year 2004 which is widely recognised legal education college mostly situated in Tamil Nadu, India. Located on a massive 10 acre land, this affiliated college is the pioneer in nurturing young generation for lawyers for almost two decades. Recognised by Bar Council of India (BCI), the college has various law courses that can fulfil different legal dreams. The college has 897 students and 13 faculties, this.faculty student-ratio is very ideal for a legal learning environment. The institution currently offers three unique degree programmes in its field of law and practice, such as Criminal Law as well as Cyber Law and Legal Practice.
The Government Law College has a range of amenities that are aimed at improving on the learning atmosphere of the students. They include a state of the art computer lab, a chemists’ laboratory, a art laboratory, an over 13,000 volume library stocked with general and special interest books. Extensive collection of textbooks and reference documents, as well as 2000 back volumes, together with updated legal journals and reports. The college has a moot court which prepares aspiring litigators for mock trials as one of the ways that the college is well endowed. The institution also focuses on technology with good IT facilities, so students are ready for the modern day Lawyer. There is also a women’s Hostel that provides a conducive accommodation for Female students inclusive of study area and other necessities. Other facilities include; Health facility, where there are first aid facilities within the confines of the campus among others.
The Government Law College at Chengalpattu has integrated courses in its education system with three full-time programmes each designed in such a way to serve different fields in the law sector. The programmes include; The Regular three-year LLB, The five-year integrated B.A. LLB, The two-year masters degree in Criminal Law with Cyber Law. They are general courses that equip the students with core principles of law and at the same time offers specialized knowledge in the growing fields of the law. The college has a total student intake of 897 in an effort to ensure that it offers quality education byStandard 7 admittances only. Though one cannot quantify the number of such graduates, yes the college does have structured programmes in order to produce a holistic legal personality to face the world ready to carve out a successful legal career.
The admission for the course at the Government Law College, Chengalpattu is given on the basis of merit, and counseling is done. For the 3-year LLB programme students are admitted by calendar year basis based on merit, this is in a bid to ensure that the best in the intake are selected. Likewise, for any of the 5-year integrated programme like BA LLB also has a merit based mode of admission through counselling only. This approach enables the college to achieve high standards academically as well as recruit only those students that have the possibility of performing extremely well in legal studies.

Admission to three years LLB offered in Government Law College, Chengalpattu is done on academic merit through TNDALU counselling, you need to apply at the official website of TNDALU once the online registration link for this academic session activated, as of now the application form isn't released for LLB of three years but it can get anytime soon, the reason being admission process for integrated law courses have already started, the eligibility to pursue LLB is passed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university securing 45% aggregate, there is relaxation of 5% for reserved categories, you can stay updated at the official website at http://www.tndalu.ac.in/index.html regarding the latest information pertaining to admission schedule of LLB course.
As you know there are two kind of colleges for any course in India i.e., either Government or Private. Now private law colleges have greater course fees as compared to the government colleges. I am providing you the average fees for both kind of colleges.
