Government Medical College and Hospital, Pudukkottai (GMCH Pudukkottai) is a government medical college that was started newly in the year 2017. This affiliated college is established at Mullur Village, Pudukkottai, Tamil Nadu and it is sprawled over 127 acres of area. The GMCH Pudukkottai is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) on which most of its courses are based. The college teaches courses that are offered on two degrees and total to 2 courses; undergraduate and postgraduate. Unfortunately, the Institute has 231 faculties willing to impart medical knowledge to students willing to serve as medical doctors in the country. GMCH Pudukkottai is also a co-educational college; it gives equal importance for the boys and girls students who want to study in the medical field.

The Government Medical College and Hospital is well equipped with various functional facilities for the academic needs and successful development the students. The institution has a modern health centre with first aid services to improve students health. A service like an extensive library credited as the knowledge centre of the university supports academic discipline A state-of-art facilities like laboratories support medical disciplines such as pathology. Also, there is postgraduate degree DNB in Emergency Medicine Post MBBS, where students receive training in medical emergencies.
