Government Medical College and Hospital, Pudukkottai (GMCH Pudukkottai) is a government medical college that was started newly in the year 2017. This affiliated college is established at Mullur Village, Pudukkottai, Tamil Nadu and it is sprawled over 127 acres of area. The GMCH Pudukkottai is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC) on which most of its courses are based. The college teaches courses that are offered on two degrees and total to 2 courses; undergraduate and postgraduate. Unfortunately, the Institute has 231 faculties willing to impart medical knowledge to students willing to serve as medical doctors in the country. GMCH Pudukkottai is also a co-educational college; it gives equal importance for the boys and girls students who want to study in the medical field.

Also, there is postgraduate degree DNB in Emergency Medicine Post MBBS, where students receive training in medical emergencies. It also offers the following other health related programmes namely Diploma in Radio Diagnosis Technology, B.Sc in Radiology and Imaging Technology, Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technician, and B.Sc in Physician Assistant. These programmes have intakes ranging from 20 to 100 seats and offered in medical and all health fields of study.
