Government Medical College, Gondia (GMC Gondia), was established in the year 2016 and is one of the leading medical colleges in Gondia, Maharashtra. It is an affiliated college which comes under the National Medical Commission. Faculty size at GMC Gondia is 67 members, making learning one of the quality areas for the medical domain. It offers 15 courses catering to the undergraduate and postgraduate curricula. 

Government Medical College, Gondia, has several facilities to ensure the overall development of the students in every aspect. It is a self-financing college with hostel facilities for boys and girls separately in the ITI campus, providing a comfortable residential arrangement for those coming from out of the city. The college has a fully equipped health center with first-aid facilities available for emergency medical care of the students. There are 1 undergraduate programme (MBBS) and 14 postgraduate programmes in the field of MD/MS offered by this college. The flagship MBBS programme has an intake approval of 150 seats, while the postgraduate courses vary in seat allocations. These courses are all full-time provisions that offer intensive and focused medical training. The curriculum of the college is designed in a way to instill both theory and practical in the students, making them ready for an illustrious career ahead in the field of medicine.

The admission at GMC Gondia is done through merit basis only, followed and prescribed by MUHS, Nashik. Candidates are admitted to the MBBS programme through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG). This is a national-level exam, the qualifying score of which candidates have to obtain to become eligible for the program. Admissions to the postgraduate courses, MD/MS, take place on the basis of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post Graduates (NEET-PG).
