Government Medical College, Kollam was established in the year 2016. The college is situated in the Kollam city of Kerala, on India's Malabar Coast. GMC Kollam offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to students who want to pursue medical degree courses in the various fields of Medicine and Allied Sciences.
Government Medical College Kollam offers M.B.B.S. and M.D. programmes. The course fee for the MBBS programme is Rs 4.43 lakhs for the entirety. The MD programme is available in four specialisations including Forensic Science, Community Medicine, Pathology and Microbiology. Admission at the GMC Kollam is given based on the NEET-UG scores for the MBBS programme and NEET-PG scores for M.D. courses.
