Medical College Konni is one of the new colleges in the kingdom of Kerala formed in 2022. This affiliated college is situated in Annakuthi, Konni, the college follows the guidelines issued by the National Medical Commission (NMC) of India for medical education in the country. It achieves the mission as a government institution since it provides affordable quality education to students who are aspiring to become doctors. This college being mixed, it accommodates students of all sexes, which makes learning atmosphere diverse.

Everything is made geared towards enhancing the student’s academic and personal lives; Government  Medical College Konni has numerous facilities for this purpose. The library’s functions are to be an informational center and deliver necessary materials for medical education. More specifically, the college has a variety of laboratories, based on the departments of the college, which are essential for practical, such as medical education. The campus also contains an auditorium where various events, seminars and discussions, academic and cultural, may take place. Students health needs is well addressed by a health center which includes first aid facilities. For these reasons, recreational facilities such as sports facilities are provided to ensure that the students balance their day with courses work and physical activity. Government Medical College, Konni is at present running only one course and it is the MBBS course. This is a full course programme which takes six years to complete and it prepares would-be doctors. The capacity for admitting the students is fixed at 100 for MBBS that indicates the ability of a college in producing a reasonable number of doctors each year. This focused approach enables the institution to direct its scarce resources towards being able to deliver quality medical education in its core program.

The admission process at Government Medical College, Konni, follows the norms obtaining in other Medical colleges in India. It is a university that all potential students must complete the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) which is the main entrance test to all medical courses in the country. Definitely, NEET scores are used to determine who has what it takes to join the program and who does not. The students who are anxious to get admission to the college must follow the NEET exam dates and the related admission procedure which is to be provided by the college.
