Government Medical College, Ongole (GMC Ongole) is an established institution that provides top-class medical training to future health professionals. Admissions to GMC Ongole are based on a merit framework as envisioned by the national body in charge of medicine. For MBBS program:

MD/MS Courses: There are different MD and MS courses provided by GMC Ongole such as General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Pathology, Dermatology, Community Medicine, Anaesthesiology, Paediatrics, ENT, Radio Diagnosis, Ophthalmology, Physiology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Forensic Medicine, Psychiatry, and Respiratory Medicine. These courses admit on the basis of NEET-PG ranks. The intake capacity for each course ranges from 1 to 11 seats.

For MD General Surgery, the college has an approved intake of 11 seats. The students must pass the NEET-PG exam and undergo the following counseling process.

MD Obstetrics and Gynaecology, MD Pathology, and MD Dermatology Venereology and Leprosy all have an approved intake of 9 seats. Admission is offered as per NEET-PG ranks.
