Hello,
See irrespective of whether you're appearing for Term End Exam or not, it's imperative to do re-registration on time, the reason being you could have easily appeared for next TEE on time, I assume you got enrolled in January session of last year if you haven't lapsed your exam time, you could have applied for re-registration in January session of this year, by doing so what would have happened is you could easily appear for December TEE 2021, you could have also applied for July 2021 re-registration for second year which you have missed also and you could have done it even if appeared for TEE in August, as you missed on both these re-registration time periods, you will have to wait out for next one, that is January 2022, and you have to appear for TEE in December 2022.

Dear Bhadra,
The College of Engineering, Trivandrum(CET) was established in 1939 as the first Engineering College in the then Travancore State. According to NIRF ranking, the College of Engineering Trivandrum is placed in the 71st position. The College ranks among the top in the country in the quality of its graduates and the number of top jobs held by its graduates. With such an eminence in the academic and curricular activities, the College is the most sought after Engineering College by the applicants of Engineering degree programmes in the state. The Electronics Engineering department (EEE branch) basically includes studies related to transmission of electrical signals and circuitry. It deals with analog and digital transmission & reception of data, voice and video, solid state devices, microprocessors, satellite communication, antennae, wave progression and digital and analog communication.
Whereas, Government Model Engineering College(MEC) is affiliated to the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU) and was the first engineering college to be established by the Government of Kerala under the aegis of the institute of Human Resource Development (IHRD). The college was previously affiliated to Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) and has witnessed record breaking placements year after year. MEC was featured 37 among the top 100 engineering colleges in India by Outlook magazine and 21 among the top 25 Govt. Engineering colleges in India by DataQuest. The Electronics Engineering and Communication Department (ECE) offers premier professional training with the modern developments in electronics and information technology. The curriculum is designed to give adequate emphasis on application of Electronics in Communication Systems and Signal Processing and includes courses on Semiconductor Electronics, Electronic Circuits, Communication Engineering, Instrumentation, Signal Processing, etc. The Electronics Department is home to Digital Circuits, Communication, etc.
The department has been recognized as a research Centre of the Cochin University of Science and Technology. Several research scholars are carrying out high end research in various areas under the supervision of the faculty. Faculty members of the department have also been recognized as research guides under the Kerala Technological University. Faculty have expertise in multimedia signal processing, electronic device modelling, VLSI and embedded systems, microwave engineering and optoelectronics to supervise cutting edge research.
I would suggest you to go for MEC, Kochi if you want to choose college from both. But rather you should pursue you area of interest coursewise. Both EEE and ECE are quite similar with distinct variations between them. So, please choose wisely.
Hope this sorted your query.
All the Best!!
Hello!
If MEC stands for the subject combination of (mathematics, economics and commerce) then I'm sorry to say but you need to have science subjects (physics, chemistry and mathematics) in order to be eligible for doing B.Tech or any other engineering courses.
Hope this helps.
Hi,
Assuming your CRL rank is 13142. With this rank, you can get many NITs. Since you belong to AP, you can join NIT -AP . You can also branches like Mech & ECE in NITs like NIT- Bhopal, NIT- Jaipur, NIT-Surat, NIT- Nagpur, NIT - Jamshedpur, NIT Kurukshetra.
In order to know what other colleges you could get, you should use this tool:
Thanks!!!!
Hello Aspirant,
According to the mentioned percentile your OBC rank is expected to be in the range of 45000-50000 , you can check out marks Vs CRL ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-
https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile
Or
You can also use JEE-Main Rank Predictor to predict your rank :-
https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor
Now on such rank and category you have no chance to get any of the NITs because closing rank for NITs for Other state OBC candidates generally variates around 15000-16000, for e.g.
** National Institute of Technology Agartala - Production Engineering (15723)
** National Institute of Technology Sikkim - Civil Engineering (13352)
**Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar - Bio Technology (14504)
So I would recommend you to either go for state counselling for state autonomous institutions or for private colleges like :-
Or you can prepare for further attempts of JEE-Main and to help you in your preparation we have some resources which you can access from the link given below :-
https://learn.careers360.com/jee-main-coaching/?utm_source=%20QnA
You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the official website of JOSAA as given below :-
https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx
Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.
To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use JEE-Main College Predictor:-

I hope this information helps you.
Good Luck!!
hello,
As of now its tough to say where you can fetch seat because the cutoff changes every year due to many factors like total students appearing for exam, difficulty level of paper etc factors.but based on previous year trends and analysis below are the list of colleges you can have chances to fetch seat in for cse branch, considering you from general category as you did not mention your category,

hope this helps,
thankyou.
My college is not so huge compared to other colleges. But we have great facilities such as having Idea lab, Fab lab and many more which very few colleges have. We do have our own play ground as well as basketball court but we don't have a sports faculty,we students itself train ourselves. We have a library but since technology became the centre of attraction, libraries are not used by all the students. The infrastructure maybe small but this very fact has a great advantage which is we know each other very well. We share great bond with each other.
The infrastructure may not be the highlight facet of the college, but it makes up with the fact that it is situated in a very good place, at the centre of the city of Kochi. Classrooms are great and well maintained, with WiFi available. There are football, basketball and volleyball courts for sports.
