36 MonthsDiploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering is a three-year full-time course offered by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Hyderabad, and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
Eligibility Criteria
A Candidate should pass the 10th Std./ SSC examination. Obtained at least 35% marks in the qualifying examination.
Admission Details
Admissions: Students can get admission to the institution in two ways:
1. Direct entry into I Year
The admissions procedure is governed by the Department of Technical Education, AP, following all the rules and regulations prescribed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. Admissions into Government Polytechnic, Dharmavaram is based on the ranks obtained in the POLYCET common entrance test conducted every year by DTE/ SBTET-AP. The eligible qualification for appearing in POLYCET is a pass in SSC or equivalent. The seats left over (if any) are filled through Spot Admission duly following all the regulations prescribed by the Government of AP, at the institute level notified through a separate notification.
2. Lateral entry into II year (III Semester)
Lateral entry is for
1. Students who have completed the relevant Intermediate Vocational Course (IVC) and have passed the Bridge Course as per norms prescribed by SBTET-AP. Admissions are limited to 10 % of the sanctioned intake of Diploma courses. The Admissions are governed by the DTE duly following the regulations prescribed by the Government of AP.
2. Students who have completed relevant trade in ITI and have passed the Bridge Course as per norms prescribed by SBTET-AP. Admissions are limited to 10 % of the sanctioned intake of Diploma courses. The Admissions are governed by the DTE duly following the regulations prescribed by the Government of AP.
