Government Polytechnic, Atmakur, is a first-rate technical college in Venkatraopalli Village, Atmakur Mandal, Nellore, Andhra Pradesh. The polytechnic provides good education in the area of engineering branches and is certified by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

3. At the time of counseling, students have to complete the application form, indicating the choice of Government Polytechnic, Atmakur and the choice of course (Automobile Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering).

4. The candidates are asked to pay the application fee as per the APSCHE.

5. The admission is usually granted as per the rank obtained by the candidate in AP POLYCET and seat availability in the preferred course.

6. The shortlisted candidates will be intimated and asked to report at the institute for document verification and admission procedure.

Degree wise Admission Process

Diploma in Automobile Engineering: The three-year course has an intake of 60 students, which is sanctioned by the management. The student will be admitted on the basis of the SSC examination with a minimum of 35% marks. The course introduces the student to automobile designing, manufacturing, and maintenance knowledge and skills.

Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering: With an intake of 60 students as approved by the government, this three-year program also has the minimum 35% marks in the SSC examination as the eligibility criterion for admission. The program deals with electronic systems, communication technologies, and allied fields.

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering: The course has a sanctioned number of 60 students and uses the same 35% mark criterion in SSC. It involves a range of mechanical engineering subjects such as design, manufacturing, and thermal systems.

The documents to be produced during the time of admission usually include:

  • SSC (10th class) pass certificate and mark sheet
  • AP POLYCET rank card
  • Transfer certificate of the previous college
