Government Polytechnic Bans, Pithoragarh (2014) is a technical education institution in the state of Uttarakhand, India. This affiliated college, duly approved by AICTE, offers diploma programs in engineering disciplines. Situated in the beautiful town of Pithoragarh, the institute provides a very conducive environment for learning and skill development. Currently, with an enrolment of 21 students, the faculty strength is 1,  this polytechnic emphasises quality technical education in an intimate academic environment.

Government Polytechnic, Bans, Pithoragarh is currently running two full-time diploma courses: Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering and Diploma in Civil Engineering. Sanctioned intake capacity in the Computer Science Engineering branch is 60 and that in the Civil Engineering branch is 48. Both these programs are three-year courses and development-oriented with the aim of building people rich in skill and knowledge to perform in today's rapidly changing job market.
