Government Polytechnic College, Kadathur (GPC Kadathur) is an implementary college for the technical education set up in 2016. Although this affiliated college is situated in Bosinayakkanahalli Village, Kadathur, Tamil Nadu, it is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Governing the over 5 acres of land, GPC Kadathur presently offers 5 diploma courses in the field of engineering. The institute offers education to a total of 799 students and employs 4 faculties in total. Based on the subject, it has established itself as a government institution of learning that aims at offering quality technical education to learners who intend to become engineers in the region.

GPC Kadathur is equipped with generic amenities for the noble cause of students to perform excellently in their academic activities. The college library is a source of information, a resource centre which students can rely on to improve their study experience. Each department is endowed with well-equipped laboratories that play an important role in a technical education setting. Having on-site media services means that students are connected, have access to modern educational technology. To cater the need and for the comfort of the students, the college has separate hostel accommodation for boys and girls. Another means for leisure is a cafeteria, an auditorium for events and seminars, and fitted black sports facility. To facilitate health consciousness a gym has been set up and a guest house has been established for the long-staying guests such as visiting faculty, and family. It also has a highly functioning alumni network for educational institutions students and this college is not exceptional.

In all, GPC Kadathur offers a total of five full-time diploma courses and all the courses are limned under the chamber of engineering. These programmes are expected to equip the students with a clear knowledge of their areas of specialisation.  This is to achieve a ratio of students to faculty members and create close contact especially in the practical sessions.

The admission procedure at Government Polytechnic College, Kadathur has been made as easy as possible to encourage more and more students to take up the course. Based on this principle, the college has made quality education and practical training its Responsibility to produce students with requisite skills set to practice engineering professions in fields that enhance the technical workforce of Tamil Nadu and elsewhere.
