Government Polytechnic College Karur is a government level technical college located in the region of Karur; the college was established in 2010. Situated in Kaniyalampatti, Kadavur Taluk, Karur District, Tamil Nadu, this affiliated college has an area of land of 5 acres. The lab is on I.T Infrastructure where students is compelled to write some programming languages such as C/C++. Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering: This program has room for 60 students, and acceptance follows a normal admission procedure where they rank the candidates and allocate branches during counseling according to performance and seat availability.

Diploma in Computer Engineering: This course is smaller, with just 30 students. The same procedure, being the same as for other diploma courses, is followed based on merit and distribution for allocation counseling.
