Government Polytechnic College, Neemrana was established in the year 2000 in Kundan Singh Pura Neemrana, District Alwar Rajasthan hence the institute holds a strategic position in establishing future engineers. Situated on a large area of 10 acre, GPC Neemrana is a affiliated college recognised by AICTE New Delhi. The institute presently provides 5 diploma courses in engineering stream with varying capacity and faculty strength, where total 257 students are admitted whereas its faculty size is meager 16. GPC Neemrana can be viewed as the institution with the focus on delivering high quality technical education in such newly developing areas as Mechatronics and Cyber Forensics.

Government Polytechnic College has well endowed facilities that supplement the learning processes of the students in the college. Strategically located in the centre of the campus is a highly stocked library, stocked with over 5000 technical books, and a variety of newspapers and magazines subscribed to. The library also provides reprographic services to make sure students have various study materials. The GPC Neemrana has well equipped laboratories for practical learning with fully equipped Strength of Materials lab, Fluid Mechanics lab, Auto Model lab, along with Heat Engine lab. The college has great interest in keeping abreast with technological advancement as is shown by the good IT facilities that are made available to the students in today’s society.

At GPC Neemrana, diploma courses of study are as diversified as degree courses, and are all three-year full time programmes. The institute currently provides five specialised diploma courses: Computer Science and Engineering Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Automobile Engineering, Computer Forensics and Information Security and Mechatronics Engineering. These programmes are made with an intention to fulfil the dynamic requirements of the industry and with specialisation in new technologies. The overall approved intake for all courses is 164 students per annum The institute is concerned with setting strategic staff-student ratios with an aim of achieving optimum student-staff interactions to enable provision of quality education.
