Sironj’s Government Polytechnic College was founded in 2011 and is an affiliated college in Sironj of Madhya Pradesh. This AICTE approved technical institution offers diploma in a variety of engineering branches. The college itself is located on a vast 10-acre of land which offers technical education in a favourable environment. Government Polytechnic College has a variety of facilities that aim at improving the experiences of the students in lessons learned. The library is a wealth of information consisting of more than six thousand four hundred and forty nine books and twelve journals, with topics of the following: Academic, technical, current interest, and general interest. In regard to improving the student practical experiences, each department has well-equipped laboratories where students can practice what they learn on the blackboard. It also appreciates the need for balanced education hence lays down amenities for various indoor and outdoor games. In the indoor, it comes into two parts one is the indoor games like table tennis carom and chess and another ones are out door games like volleyball and badminton. For it to meet the challenging technological demands of the modern world, the college has well developed IT equipments and facilities allowing the students to access modern computer systems. Also, the college has an active alumni who form a association to help current college students to network with former college students.

There are only four full-fledged diploma programmes being offered at the Government Polytechnic College Sironj and all these are launched as three-year full time programmes. These programmes are targeted for construction of students various branches of engineering as well as offer students different opportunities to follow their technical passions. The total intake capacity of the college of 216 students over all the courses offered and the capacity to take 54 students for every course offered. Such distribution of specializations guarantees that all are individualised, and the resource built for each is as effective as is possible. The courses offered are Diploma in Mechanical, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication and Civil.

Admission at Government Polytechnic College Sironj is undertaken in a proper manner. Applicants who wish to seek admission in the Polytechnics are mandatorily need to qualify the Pre Polytechnic Test (PPT) which is conducted by the Professional Examination Board (PEB) Bhopal. After PPT course admissions are done through Centralised Online Counseling to be conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Madhya Pradesh.
