Government Polytechnic College, Udhampur was set up in the year 2012, it is affiliated college located in Gole Market, Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir. The institute is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and it is engaged in providing diploma in Engineering disciplines. Situated on a 7.52 acres land, it has total admission capacity of 105 students and 8 teachers and faculty members. Government Polytechnic College, Udhampur offers three diploma courses in Automobile Engineering, Civil Engineering and Computer Engineering for the students who wanted to take technical education in this region.

There are many facilities that the college has to offer with regards to the students’ academic and practical needs. A library with text and reference books numbering 4476 with various subjects in Automobile and Civil Engineering are available in the college for students use. It comprises of 25 state of the art HP computers with the most current specifications accompanied by two online ups 5KVA systems for reliable power supply. Such equipments include multimedia projectors and printers, scanners as well as digital copier providing students with the required experience of IT equipment. The Automobile engineering course offers 60 seats as well as civil engineering while Computer engineering offers 30 only.
