Government Polytechnic, Devadurga: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Government Polytechnic, Devadurga, came into existence in the year 2009 and is recognised under DTE of Karnataka and located at Devadurga, Kolar District, Karnataka. This is a technical institution which was accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), which provides diploma courses in that field of engineering. Set on a five acre land the polytechnic offers quality technical education to would-be engineers. The institute maintains a small faculty of 12 members who are dedicated to teaching the students practical experiences and knowledge. Government Polytechnic, Devadurga has four diploma courses and the capacity for each of the programs is as follows: 48 for Civil engineering, 62 for Mechanical engineering and 10 for Computer engineering.

Government Polytechnic has most important infrastructures and other basic amenities to assist the students in their academic and other developmental activities. These includes; The Library, this arm of the school is more of a resource centre for students source for their references and other study materials as may be required. The polytechnic also has adequate well equipped I.T facilities so that the students be in touch with the advancement of technology in the field of their study. Also in relation to services the institute offers medical facility or hospitalisation, which is super important for any institution with students and employees.

Government Polytechnic, Devadurga consolidates a total of four full time diploma courses only for a period of three academic years. This institute offers the following diploma engineering courses are Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering & Diploma in Computer Science Engineering. All of these programs are intended to equip the students with a great background in their chosen area of specialisation. The total intake approved for all courses are 174 where Mechanical, Civil, Electronics & communication engineering have 48 seat according to them and Computer Science Engineering has 30 seat.

.The process of admission to Government Polytechnic, Devadurga is brought in the simplest way possible for the intending students. With regard to the admission procedure, it however remains unclear, but typical practice applied throughout polytechnic institutes in Karnataka indicate that students are admitted based on their results in respective qualifying examinations. It comes with an annual fee of 12,810 INR regardless of the diploma program a student is interested in at the institute.
