Government Polytechnic for Women, Srikakulam: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Established in the year 1993, Government Polytechnic for Women, Srikakulam is a college affiliated to an university or a university itself located in Andhra Pradesh. This women-oriented institution is approved by All India Council for Technical Education, AICTE, and it focuses on technical education only for women. This polytechnic sprawls over 7.9 acres and offers 3 diploma courses in 1 degree type, namely, engineering and pharmacy. This institution has a total enrolment of 224 students with a faculty strength of 22, and the student-to-teacher ratio is pretty decent. 

Government Polytechnic for Women, Srikakulam, has various facilities to support the academic and personal growth of its students. The hostel for girls has two buildings accommodating strength of 192 students. The main hostel began in 1998, and it has 40 rooms on three floors, while a new building added in 2013 constructed eight more rooms. The working college library has 6,850 volumes with 803 book titles and a reading room with a seating capacity for 80 students. Sports facilities are available to all students for physical well-being. The institution also has well-equipped laboratories for each department, and students are given practical training. 

The polytechnic offers a total of 3 full-time diploma courses, all of which are regular programs. All programs at the institute are directed toward developing skills in students and equipping them with knowledge in their respective technical fields, which forms the very basis of their working careers in the future.
