Government Polytechnic Garur, Bageshwar: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Government Polytechnic Garur, Bageshwar is an affiliated college, established in 2006 in the heart of the picture district of Bageshwar, Uttarakhand. It is a co-educational institution spread over a compact 4-acre campus, approved by AICTE to ensure quality technical education; it has two diploma programmes with a total student enrolment of 68, fostering a closely knit learning environment. 

Amongst various facilities made available by this polytechnic to enhance the learning experience and overall development of students, mention may be made of a library that acts as a knowledge hub in extending facilities for upward growth in academics. The sports-minded amongst the students are encouraged to adopt a balanced life through sports facilities made available. The institute feels proud about its departmental laboratories, which provide practical learning exposures as an integral part of technical education. To keep pace with this digital world, the college has also invested in its excellent IT infrastructure for preparing students to face techno-driven world challenges. Currently, Government Polytechnic Garur, Bageshwar, offers two full-time diploma courses of three years each. Its academic portfolio comprises of some core programs in the engineering field: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and Diploma in Civil Engineering. Each course has an enrolment of 30 students, totalling 60 seats. 

The admission to Government Polytechnic Garur, Bageshwar, is primarily based on the results of the Joint Entrance Examination Polytechnic, conducted by Uttarakhand Board of Technical Education, Roorkee.
