Government Polytechnic, Godhra was established in the year 2005 and has been functioning well since then. The Govt Polytechnic Godhra offers Diploma Engineering courses in three branches Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical, under the aegis of the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Gandhinagar and affiliated to Gujarat Technological University, Ahmadabad. The total seat intake for the Government Polytechnic Godhra is 360.

Government Polytechnic Godhra facilities include a Library, Auditorium, Canteen, Parking, Dispensary, Women's Cell, Laboratory, Grievance Cell, and Hostel. The Govt. Poly Godhra Women cell is active in this institute, women are free to speak about their problems because GP Poly Godhra supports women's empowerment. The institute also provides the AICTEs Pragati Scholarship Scheme for female students and the AICTEs Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Specially abled students.
