As an affiliated college, Government Polytechnic, Gummalaxmipuram is located at Parvathipuram Manyam District in Andhra Pradesh, set up in through 2013. This is a technical institution allowed by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and provides the diploma programmes to the engineering discipline. The polytechnic is located in a limited area of 5.5 acres and at the present time it has the aggregate enrolment capacity of 58 students and faculty members 4 in number. The institute offers two full time diploma courses each of three years duration to fulfil the demand of engineers in the region.

Government Polytechnic provides various types of resources that student need for their learning needs. Department specific well equipped laboratories offer tangible learning via lab activities where students gets actual feel of concepts learnt. It also focuses on upgrades in technology with a commendable setup of IT infrastructure, thus the students will learn using modern equipment. On the same note for the development of the student, sports amenities are provided for exercise and body building, teamwork. 

Government Polytechnic, Gummalaxmipuram currently offers two programmes. We offer Dipolma in Mechanical Engineering and Dipolma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The two courses are undergraduate and are delivered full time over three years. These courses are intended to equip student with skills in their areas of specialisation to deal with the dynamic engineering market. The curriculum may contain substantial academic content in combination with training in skills and expertise for expected practice as professionals upon graduation.
