Affiliated college Government Polytechnic, Kampli is situated in Kampli Taluk, Bellary, Karnataka which was started in year 2009. This is a government running institution having accreditation from All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. The polytechnic has developed four diploma programs in engineering related fields, and an uptake of 300 students in total. The institute has a strength of 21 faculties and has a student-teacher ratio which is in the institute’s favor. Government Polytechnic, Kampli is a technical institution for offering education in Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

The institute has many amenities that enhance the student’s academic life and well being. It has the function of a library – it contains groups of books and magazines, and all the necessary materials students might need. The Government Polytechnic, Kampli offers four full-time diploma courses which will take three years to complete. The institute has total student intake capacity of 216 intake for all streams in ACPC. All of the four diploma programs and includes Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering have been approved for an intake of 54 students per year. Only full time mode of study is offered in order to deliver quality, intensive program that will give the student an up close and personal experience in the field that he/she has chosen.

Admission in the Government Polytechnic, Kampli is easy and is done purely on the merit basis. For all diploma courses, initial entry is based in the performance in Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination. In this way, the institute can provide education to the students who performed well in their secondary education and have strong background in academics to attend the technical institute.
