Government Polytechnic Kandikhal, Tehri Garhwal: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Government Polytechnic Kandikhal, Tehri Garhwal was established in the year 2014; located ideally in the peaceful and beautiful state of Uttarakhand, India. It is an affiliated college approved to conduct quality engineering education by All India Council for Technical Education. Lying on a small 5.58-acre campus, the current strength of the institute is 43 students, and that of the faculty is 3. 

The facilities available and incumbent at the institute are quite a number and some have been outlined below. A fully-stocked library provides good resources for class work and research work. The availability of sports amenities ensures a balance between work and physical fitness, with a special interest in physical activities. The IT of the college assures keeping the students updated with technology, and also the auditorium always busy with its activities and seminars. Laboratories with all specialties take care of practical learning needs, which are very important, especially for the program of Civil Engineering. The cafeteria allows a place for students to relax and socialize, while the guest rooms help the visiting faculty members and extended family. The various facilities of a vast parking space for the students across the campus and an exclusive Training and Placement Cell ensure that the transition from the portals of this college is well managed by the students into the professional domain.

At present, Government Polytechnic Kandikhal has one full-time diploma course—for the diploma in civil engineering course. This will be a three-year course to raise students with the basic knowledge and skills required in the field of civil engineering. 

Admission mainly occurs through the Uttarakhand Joint Entrance Examination Polytechnics (Uttarakhand JEEP). This entrance examination invites aspiring students to take entry into the Civil Engineering program of the institute.
