Government Polytechnic, Kudligi started in the year 2009 is one of the leading technical institutions situated at Kudligi, Karnataka. This affiliated college recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE) & BTEB, Bangladesh is offering a number of diploma programme in engineering subjects. The student intake being 344 and faculties 21 allows the institute to concentrate more on the engineering aspirants. The polytechnic presently has four full time diploma courses each of three years duration in civil engineering, computer science and engineering, electronics and communication engineering and mechanical engineering.

According to the institute structure, there are several amenities for the students to support their education and other needs. This library is an important centre of knowledge, where students get virtually all technical frequencies and readings. Housed in departments, practical laboratory work provides empirical learning opportunities with real-life application of theories.
