The Government Polytechnic, Navipet came into existence on the academic year 2014-15 in Nizamabad District of Telangana State. This affiliated college, which was approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), provide Diploma courses in engineering fields. The institute precisely facilitates integrated learning environment for those who aspire engineers by having 228 students in total and 1 number of faculty. The college currently runs two diploma courses which focus on Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering education to meet the rising need for skilled technicians in the sectors.

The institute has availed a number of units that meet the consideration of expanding the learning facilities for the students. The college accommodates highly equipped, departmental laboratories meeting the practical requirements vital in technical college.
