Government Polytechnic, Nellore, was started in the year 1960 and is situated in Venkateswarapuram. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved college and it is affiliated while offering quality education in the faculties of engineering. Located in a massive plot of 21 acres land, this institute provide a student enrolment of 1,050 and total faculty of 28. Government Polytechnic, Nellore, at this moment, has research degree diploma in two fields of engineering each of which is distinct from the other. 

Government Polytechnic, Nellore, has facilities that it offers to its students to improve on their experience while at the institute. The courses are Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, and so on.
