Government Post Graduate College, Dwarahat, established in 1983, has gradually grown into a citadel of higher learning. In this quaint hill town, Dwarahat of the Almora district in the state of Uttarakhand, India, it is found spread all over an area of nearly 4 acres, dotted across four decades of service to educational needs as an affiliated college. NAAC has accredited the institution, and it provides 11 courses in 5 degree programs to its student enrollment of 1,008. The institute has as many as 22 dedicated faculty members who manage a relatively healthy student-teacher ratio of 53:1 and ensure that each student is given proper attention and quality education.
Institution has a host of facilities to make the learning experience rich for the students. Apart from that, the well-equipped campus library serves as an information center for all the students. Government Post Graduate College, Dwarahat conducts a wide variety of courses across different academic streams. The institute offers 11 full-time courses covering under-graduate and postgraduate studies. At the bachelors level, the BA, B.Sc, and B.Com programs are supported. Also at the postgraduate level, various programs under the wing of (MA) in History, Political Science, and Sociology; the M.Sc program in Zoology, Chemistry, Botany, Physics, and Mathematics.

The college infrastructure and building is average as it is not an private college also it is kot fancy one the clasro are bug but no wifi the cafeteria is clean and they make the food very delicious and hygenic
