Government Raza Post Graduate College, Rampur, established in 1949, ranks amongst the top educational institutions of the country. The affiliated college operates at Kusro Bagh, Rampur, Uttar Pradesh covering an area of 14.69 acres. Accredited by NAAC and recognised by NCTE, it has already enrolments of 5,670 students with a sex ratio of 1:1.44 in favour of the female section.

The modern facilities for the intellectual and personality development of students are available in the institution. The library is the hub of knowledge that houses a very large number of books, journals, and magazines referring to diverse subjects. Government Raza Post Graduate College has departmental laboratories to give hands-on experience regarding specific subjects in GRPGC. The IT infrastructure of the college is good, with a well-equipped computer laboratory of 25 latest systems and software also updated. At the institutional level, there are many sports facilities which develop physical fitness and teamwork spirit among the students. It has also maintained good contact with alumni due to its strong network of the alumni association.

GRPGC offers 33 courses with undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral courses related to various fields. The courses provided by the college include 4 undergraduate programmes: BA, BSc, B.Com, and B.Ed; 14 postgraduate programmes, including MA in different arts subjects, M.Com, MSc in many sciences; and the number goes up to 14 Ph.D. programmes in Humanities, Political Science, and Commerce.

The admission into GRPGC is done on the basis of marks in different courses. For under-graduation courses like BA, B.Sc, and B.Com, admission is solely based on merit. However, in the B.Ed course, admission is done through a state-level entrance test conducted by the state government of Uttar Pradesh.
