The Government SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu (SPMR Jammu) is a reputed and historic college. The college has a rigorous admission process for all different commerce-business-related programs. The merit-based admission scheme is followed for undergraduate admissions at SPMR Jammu, while an entrance test-based method would be used for postgraduate students. Undergraduate BBA and other courses such as BCA, B.Com and B.Com (Hons) merit-based admission, students who can get admission into these degrees need to have done well in the school examination secondary to university equivalent to 10+2 or equivalent in merit to qualify based on the academic performance in a qualifying examination.
The marks obtained in the 10+2, or equivalent, examination only would consider merit to settle the admission process by this program. Post-graduate admissions exclude the M.Com program, conducted only through the Jammu University Entrance Test (JUET). The JUET is an entrance test conducted by Jammu University, and when qualified, students admitted to SPMR Jammu shall also be on the basis of JUET merit.
Application Process
Government SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu application process varies greatly depending on the type of programs considered for application:
For Undergraduate Programs (BBA, BCA, B.Com, B.Com Hons):
1. Official College Website or Obtain Application Form at College Admission Office.
2. Complete the application form with actual personal and educational details.
3. Attach all relevant documents, which include:
4. Submission of duly filled application form along with required documents in the college admission office before the last date.
5. The college will prepare a merit list based on the academic performance of the applicants.
6. Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification and admission formalities.
For M.Com Program:
1. Register on the Jammu University website for the Jammu University Entrance Test (JUET).
2. Take JUET on the scheduled date.
3. If qualified through JUET, the student could apply to SPMR Jammu as JUET results are announced.
4. Fill the application form of the college and attach it with the following documents -
5. The merit list will be prepared by the college on the basis of JUET scores and other criteria set up by Jammu University.
6. The shortlisted candidates will be called for admission formalities and document verification.
Degree Wise Admission Process
BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration): Admission to this BBA program is conducted on a merit basis. Presently, the college has sanctioned 160 seats for the course. Students admitted to this program should have completed 10+2 in subjects focused on commerce or allied subjects.
BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications): Similar to BBA, admissions are based on merit. Candidates completing 10+2 with Mathematics as one of the subjects are eligible to apply.
B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce): Admissions to the B.Com are premised on merit. Applicants must have completed their 10+2 with commerce or any of the allied subjects.
B.Com Hons (Bachelor of Commerce Honours): The B.Com Hons program, which conducts an in-depth study of commerce subjects, uses merit for the admission process. Similar eligibility as the normal B.Com program is required.
M.Com (Master of Commerce): Admission to the M.Com program is through the Jammu University Entrance Test (JUET). The entrance would be open to candidates who have completed their bachelor's study in commerce or any related discipline. It evaluates knowledge regarding commerce subjects, along with analysis skills.
Studying B.com the teachers are good but they should provide with more learning materials. The curriculum is updated I don't think so this will be enough to make anyone job ready Not that much of academics is cover.
If someone asks me to ratr my college academics then I think I'll give it 2 starts I mean they are good in teaching bt they don't have proper teachers according to the subjects so that's why I am giving them 2 stars
As I was a student of Bachelor's of Administration there and as per my experience their teaching material is not latest and up to the mark as the teachers there doesn't shows their interest in the students and don't provide them with the adequate teaching materials
