Gramotthan Vidyapeeth College of Education is located in Sangaria, Rajasthan and was founded in 1965, aimed at building future of education. This co-educational college is established in Hanumangarh district of Rajasthan; It has been training would-be educators for more thatn five and half decades now. The college occupies a huge piece of land of 9.2 acres enabling environment that fosters learning and development. As one of the affiliated colleges recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education, NCTE implements industry-standard benchmarks for programs for teacher education.

Its achievement is the well-equipped college with versatile infrastructures necessarily required for overall development of the students. This well equipped and centrally located library has seating capacity to allow 80 students at one time and has a special research hall. Anyone interested in sports will find college facility for volleyball, kabaddi, kho-kho, badminton and table tennis. The institution has also put up modern IT facilities in place hence making the learners familiar with current educational technologies. Further, for a sense of home away from home the college has divisions of hostels for both boys and girls. It addresses its aim through offering full-time courses in the field of education as detailed below; The offer of degrees is as follows: the college controls four degree programs satisfying the varying level of teacher education. The total number of students enrolled in the courses offered at the institute is 585 while, the institute has employed 34 faculty members to discharge their teaching responsibilities. The college has sanctioned strength of 180, 50, 50 and 42 in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), Master of Education (M.Ed), Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) and Ph.D. in Education respectively. This complete spectrum of programs also allows a learner to follow their academic progression from the bachelor’s level to the doctorate level within the same institution.

There is no distinction at Gramotthan Vidyapeeth College of Education when it comes to the admission process as it follows merit system. For B.Ed and D.El.Ed admission, candidates’ results of the qualifying examination and/or entrance test are considered subject to norms fixed by the state govt /UT for admission. The M.Ed program also completes this process, with extra attention being paid to any other government or university criteria for selection. For the Ph.D. program, Scholars are selected through a competency/evaluation test and are allowed to use the library and reading hall under the supervision of experienced supervisors.
