GS College of Commerce and Economics of Jabalpur was set up in 1948 and is an autonomous organisation in the province of Madhya Pradesh. Affiliated with the Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya, Jabalpur, this AAC accredited integrated college offers 10 course in seven degree programmes. The institution occupies 2.721 acres total area; enrolled total students offer 2,578 and male and female students 1,759 and 2,165 respectively. This college is famous for its commerce and economics stream for which it has hired a team of 33 members faculty.
GS College of Commerce and Economics ha made provisions for numerous facilities to improve the learning atmosphere of the college for its students. The library of knowledge holds 52014 course books and reference volumes, 30 research journals, 24800 e-journals, 35 magazines and 17 daily newspapers. These facilitates azre available to students in special study and reading rooms to provide them with physical access to them. As for recreational facilities, there is a volley ball ground, basketball ground, badminton court, kabaddi ground and table tennis hall.
To improve the different students interest, courses provided by GS College of Commerce and Economics include a variety. It offers 10 courses of study which include both undergraduate and post graduate levels. These include full time courses in commerce, computer applications, education and management. The new generation courses offered by college are B.Com (Honours), B.Com with Taxation & Computer Application as majors, BBA, BCA, B.Ed M.Com, MA (Human Resource Administration), MA (Economics). The special focus, however, has been placed on the B.Ed programme, an institute that has an intake capacity of 100 students.

GS College of Commerce and Economics neither require any entrance examination and interviews but for admission, one has to get pass the cut off on marks obtained in relevant qualifying examinations. Even for the B.Ed programme, candidates might be required to write an entrance examination or any other test on the basis of certain norms framed by respective state government and university.

The infrastructure of this college is quite old and the infrastructure of this college lacks a lot of good facilities. So the college needs to work on the infrastructure a lot as it is impacting the college'a performance.
The infrastructure of this college is really bad and I am very disappointed as this college never provided me the necessary facilities that are needed in a good college life and it is pretty boring for me.
The infrastructure of this college is really average and I am not facing any kind of issue over here but I have problem with the facilities that this college lacks. The infrastructure looks quite outdated also.
