Gujarat Arts and Commerce College Evening, Ahmedabad, was established in 1992. The College is an acknowledged Centre of Higher Learning under Ellis Bridge, Ahmedabad. It is a Co-Education college that provides undergraduate as well as postgraduate programmes in the faculty of Arts and Commerce of Gujarat University and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. Spread over a campus area of 33-acre area, the college has a total enrolment of 3,357 students and a faculty strength of 32 committed educators, the college has three different degree courses for varied academic interests and career aspirations of students. Its 93% student base hails from within the state while the rest 7% is out of state adding to cultural exchange. The college also looked after gender diversity in its 3:1 male-to-female ratio of students.

General learning environment comprises all infrastructural facilities with modern amenities. It has a completely computerized college library housed in a separate building, automation of which has been done through SOUL software ver. 2.0. Its collection includes over 15000 volumes, rare collections, and around 40 general and subject journals. A humongous collection of books and journals is akin. For the visually challenged student, there is a brain script system that operates with a commitment towards inclusive education. The laboratories on the campus are well kept and well equipped. Facilities of full-size cricket, basketball and hockey grounds have been provided on campus for sports enthusiasts as well as on-campus gym. First aid facilities are there in the health centre on campus. Besides, there is a cafeteria where one can spend free time with friends.

Gujarat Arts and Commerce College Evening presently conducts three full-time courses in all. While two undergraduate courses include B.A. and B. Com both are to be finished in three years of duration. And the postgraduate level includes M. Com course in Advanced Accountancy for those students, it is offered for two years' duration. The policies of admission into this college are fully merits-based and comprised of a wholly inclusive type.
