Gulabrao Patil College of Pharmacy, Miraj, was established in the year 2003 as a private institute in Sangli Miraj Kupwad, Maharashtra. The institution, located on a compact 0.3168-acre campus, operates a diploma programme in pharmacy. The enrolment of students was of 120. For these students, there are 8 faculty members. The well-equipped laboratories of the college give various branches of pharmacy education in pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, human anatomy and physiology, pharmacognosy, pharmacology, toxicology, biochemistry, hospital and clinical pharmacy. In addition, the college has separate hostel facilities for those students who need them. Several additional services include playgrounds for play in cricket, volleyball, and football, an auditorium for events and seminars, a cafeteria, a health centre with first-aid facilities, parking space, transport services, gym and guest-rooms for visiting faculty and family members.
Gulabrao Patil College of Pharmacy, Miraj, at present, runs only one course, a two-year full-time programme leading to the Diploma in Pharmacy. The programme, generally referred to as D.Pharma, has an approved intake capacity of 60 students every year. The D. Pharma course structure is designed to provide a strong foundation of pharmaceutical sciences to the students and prrepare them with skills for their careers in different sectors of the pharmacy industry.
