Gulabrao Patil College of Pharmacy, Miraj: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Gulabrao Patil College of Pharmacy, Miraj, was established in the year 2003 as a private institute in Sangli Miraj Kupwad, Maharashtra. The college affiliated to the institute holds approval from the PCI and is recognised by the Government of Maharashtra. The institution, located on a compact 0.3168-acre campus, operates a diploma programme in pharmacy. The enrolment of students was of 120. For these students, there are 8 faculty members. Therefore, it gives one on one teaching experience for the students aiming to become creative pharmacists. It has received affiliation from the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai, which proves that the students studying this course will reach the professional standards required to be serving in the industry. 

Gulabrao Patil College of Pharmacy has several facilities which aims to provide the students with a better experience in their educational areas. The library, which is the core for the availability of all academic resources, possesses a volume of more than 2500 books on pharmaceutical sciences with a subscription of 16 monthly journals on the latest information on pharmaceutical research, development, and analysis. The laboratory is supplied with 20 multimedia PCs with LAN connectivity to fully support professional study and research through digital and online learning activities. The well-equipped laboratories of the college give various branches of pharmacy education in pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, human anatomy and physiology, pharmacognosy, pharmacology, toxicology, biochemistry, hospital and clinical pharmacy. In addition, the college has separate hostel facilities for those students who need them. Several additional services include playgrounds for play in cricket, volleyball, and football, an auditorium for events and seminars, a cafeteria, a health centre with first-aid facilities, parking space, transport services, gym and guest-rooms for visiting faculty and family members. 

Gulabrao Patil College of Pharmacy, Miraj, at present, runs only one course, a two-year full-time programme leading to the Diploma in Pharmacy. The programme, generally referred to as D.Pharma, has an approved intake capacity of 60 students every year. The D. Pharma course structure is designed to provide a strong foundation of pharmaceutical sciences to the students and prrepare them with skills for their careers in different sectors of the pharmacy industry. 

The admission process at Gulabrao Patil College of Pharmacy follows the rules laid down by the Directorate of Technical Education (D.T.E.), Mumbai. They are evaluated based on the performance of the prospective students in the qualifying exams.
