About Guru Gobind Nath College of Education, Kurukshetra

Guru Gobind Nath College of Education, Kurukshetra was started in 2007 as a co-educational teacher education institute. The affiliated college, located at Bawani Khera, Jamalpur, Bhiwani, Kurukshetra, Haryana, is growing with the very noble mission of fostering future educators. The institute, which offers education in a focused curriculum, got approval from the National Council for Teacher Education. With an enrolment of 188 students totally, the enrollment is 100%, thus providing an enabling environment for aspiring teachers to develop their skills and experience.

The college is fully facilitated with numerous facilities meant to add vitality to students' learning. There is a well-stocked library that acts as a knowledge hub, providing material and means necessary for research and study. Sports facilities enhance the physical well-being and provide team spirit among the students. The IT infrastructure of the college makes the students acquainted with modern educational technologies. Hands-on experiences which are a part of practical understanding in educational concepts are provided through departmental laboratories. To help facilitate the students and staff, the college has transport facilities. The auditorium provides the locus for a number of events and seminars that help maintain a vibrant academic atmosphere. Classrooms are well-equipped and function as the chief learning spaces that can easily accommodate effective teaching-learning processes.

Guru Gobind Nath College of Education has laid its core competencies on the quality of education in teaching. Currently, there is only one full-time course running under this institution, which is the Bachelor of Education. This two-year program, under the said course, has an approved intake of 100 seats, thus helping a good number of aspiring educators every year. The B.Ed. course aims at training students with the requirements imperative for contributing to the educational profession.

Admission to Guru Gobind Nath College of Education is merit-based, which consists of marks in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The college strictly follows the admission policy prescribed by the state government, UT administration, and the affiliated university, hence making it very fair and transparent in selecting all applicants.
