Nathana Guru Gobind Singh Polytechnic college is affiliated college of Bathinda District established in year 2010. Approved by the AICTE and affiliated to Vinayaka Mission’s University this technical institute provides various diploma courses in engineering fields. The college currently has a faculty of 37 and the student population being 14 makes the college to offer quality education to the students in their areas of discipline. It teaches five diploma courses in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science engineering, civil engineering, electronics and telecommunication engineering.

Nathana Guru Gobind Singh Polytechnic college has quite a number of amenities which facilitates the students both academically and physically. The campus is endowed with well-equipped departmental facilities which enable students practical experience so fundamental to technical education. An academic library is essential to students to provide relevant sources of information to support student’s learning needs. In its effort to meet the accommodation needs of male students, the college offers a boys’ hostel. Also, the institute has put more investment on good information technology which means that students will practically learn with modern technologies and information technologies that are relevant to their technical learning.

GGPC has five full time diploma courses all of which takes three years’ duration fully taken by wagon departments. The institute has an aggregate approval for admitting 270 students every year for all its programmes. Current diploma courses offered in the school are mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science engineering, civil engineering and electronics and communication engineering. All these programmes except Electronics and Communication Engineering have an intake of 60 students while the Electronics and Communication Engineering has only 30 intake.

Qualitative Admission is the policy of GGSPC where the admission process at Guru Gobind Singh Polytechnic College is quite simple for any aspiring student. Unfortunately, neither the dates for the entrance exams nor the syllabi of the test is given, but it is quite possible that this college adheres to the traditional admission policy adopted by polytechnic colleges of Punjab.
