Guru Nanak College is a co-educational Institution situated at Budhlada in the state of Punjab, India and was started in 1971. This college is Accredited by NAAC with Punjabi University Patiala andThis college provides wide courses faculties in Under Graduate and Post Graduate streams. With an area of study measuring 10.5 acres, the college currently has a total student population of 4975 with 151 members of the teaching staff. Guru Nanak College has 30 courses & 15 degrees for different fields to offers such as Commerce, Computer Applications, Sciences, Humanities etc. Sex wise, it has a moderate strength nearly 1700 students of them are male while 1200 are female The college has a fairly good strength of students from Punjab, whereas only 4% students belong to other states than Punjab.

The library is a place in the college where students get plenty of knowledge, as it contains great numbers of books, magazines and electronic data. For tech-savvy learners, this college provides a latest built up computer centre having 250 computers loaded with latest configuration internet connected and having number of software applications.

To meet the requirements of several students, Guru Nanak College has several course options which include: It offers 30 courses at various level of studies such as undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma programmes. Some of the most sought after are B.Com (Hons.) with 120 intakes BCA with 100 intakes and B.Sc Non-Medical 80 intakes. The college also provides vocational programme with specialisation which are B.Voc in software Development, Fashion Technology, Food processing in each of which 50 seats are available. Master berth programmes are MA in various subjects, Master of Science abbreviated as M.Sc, Master in Computer Applications abbreviated as MCA and Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications abbreviated as PGDCA. Also, accepting transfer credit coursework from other accredited institutions of higher learning enriches the college’s coursework making students to have ample college courses in which to study in their areas of interest.
