Nursing College named Guru Nanak College of Nursing Ludhiana was started in the year 2008 to impart the education related to nursing in Punjab, India. This affiliated college is located in Gopalpur, Dehlon and is approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC). Situated in the Belton area, over a 6-acre area the college provides the nursing programmes to the future healthcare workers. It is a small college which has limited number of students- total student intake is 311 and there are only 7 faculty members- total. Currently, it provides three nursing courses known as G.N.M, B.Sc Nursing for learners who have diverse educational requirements in the nursing profession, and Post Basic B.Sc Nursing.
To assist the students in their task accomplishment and personal development, Guru Nanak College of Nursing Ludhiana disposes of varied amenities. Every effective learning institution requires a well-endowed library to aid students through provision of key requirements for learning. The centre has coddle hostel sections for the male and female children to improve the learners’ standard living space for everybody irrespective of place of origin. Getting down to courses in details, the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) a three-year course course has the highest number of intakes with 60 students capable of being admitted. The B.Sc Nursing programme is provided for four years, with 40 seats, and the Post Basic B.Sc Nursing has one and half years with 30 student intake. These programmes are designed to afford detailed theoretical background, together with practical experience which can be crucial to successful performance of a nurse’s duties.
