Guru Nanak Nursing Institute established in 2004 at Sangrur, Punjab is one of the largest independent institutions providing nursing education in the state of Punjab, India. Guru Nanak Dev Institute of Nursing Education and Research offers two full-time nursing courses: two – the General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) programme and a second year Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery (ANM) programme. The theoretical component, the three-year GNM course has 50 intakes, and the 2-year ANM course has 30 intakes. Both of the courses are aimed at developing theoretical background and practical experience necessary for an effective nursing practice.
