Guru Teg Bahadur College of Education, Sangrur, is one of the best teacher education colleges in Punjab, India. The college is recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and has merit-based admission processes for both its programs.

Degree wise Admission Process
B.Ed: The Guru Teg Bahadur College of Education has an approved intake of 200 seats for the B.Ed course. The admission for this course is depended on merit, including marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or an entrance examination. The process is hence based on the policy laid down by State Government, U.T. Administration, and affiliated universities. This fully two-year course is full-time and prepares students for a teaching profession, for the secondary and higher secondary level.
M.Ed: This program offers 50 seats under a more specialized process for admission to the M.Ed program. Selection would thus depend on ranking based on the entrance test conducted by Punjabi University, Patiala. This is a two-year postgraduate course meant to build a career path in education, dealing with educational research, curriculum development, and educational leadership.
