Degree wise Admission Process
B.A. Programs:
Gurudas College provides B.A. Honours programmes in Bengali, English, History, Political Science, Sanskrit, Sociology, and Philosophy. Admission to the programmes is on the basis of the merit list drawn up on the basis of marks secured in the 10+2 exam. The college has 122 seats for B.A. programmes with fixed seat allocations in each subject. For example, B.A. Bengali Honours has 101 seats and History Honours has 56 seats.
B.Sc. Programmes:
The college provides B.Sc. Honours courses in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Zoology, Botany, and Economics. Admission to these courses is also merit-based, based on marks in related subjects in the 10+2 examination. There are 60 seats for B.Sc. courses. The college also provides self-financed B.Sc. Honours courses in Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Computer Science.
B.Com. Courses:
For B.Com. courses, such as B.Com. Honours in Accounting and Finance, the college admits on 10+2 marks basis with Commerce and Mathematics subject marks given priority. There are 132 seats for B.Com. Accounting and Finance Honours and 60 seats for general B.Com.
Postgraduate Programs
M.A. in Bengali and M.Sc. in Physics and Zoology are being conducted at postgraduate level in Gurudas College. Admission in M.A. Bengali is open to only 35 candidates through a merit list prepared based on the forms received. Same is the scenario with M.Sc. courses with selection based on performance at the undergraduate level.
The college was really nice and good they provide mostly all facilities like water coller and big classroom and beautiful library for students. The hostel is very much nice and food is also nice. The wifi is also in hostel but not in classroom.
It's a very old college in phoolbagan . Here all necessary facilities and equipments present. They have three buildings. One for science and arts one for commerce and one for journalism and Library. All things are well maintained. Union rooms also have here separately. Free wifi available. Here hostel facility is not available. Canteen is not well maintained foods are not so good.
This college is also very old in my time . All facilities and equipments were not properly available that time. But now days all necessary things are available. Present time wifi available and also they have ac in office. Yearly they also arrange sports. In present time canteen is not under maintenance and food quality is not so good, it's ok ok.
