Gurukul College , Bathinda which started in the year 2007 being an affiliated college that is co-educational situated in Punjab, India. Located in a 5 acre facility the college has an impressive 12 courses offered in 9 degree programmes and a total student capacity of 381 students. Coming to teachers it staffs 22 faculties and maintains the perfect combination of students and teachers so that each student can be focused uniquely. It consists of many courses such as computer applications, business administration, commerce, fashion technology, punjabi studies etc.

Currently, the Gurukul College has developed some facilities to complement learning environment. For this reason, a well-stocked library assumes the role of being an information centre for the learners as well as the faculty. If the student is interested in sports, then the college offers systematic opportunities to develop fitness and sports spirit. This institution boasts of having one of the best information technology facilities through which students are informed on the current technological developments. Siddhinath Mahavidyalaya in Purba Medinipur, West Bengal, is a comparably younger institution. The college provides a wide variety of undergraduate courses in arts and science that suit the educational purposes of the area. The admission process in Siddhinath Mahavidyalaya is made inclusive and available for all the qualified candidates.

The college has a simple admission process for its different undergraduate programs. Admissions are usually done once a year for the academic year starting in July or August. The process is merit-based, taking into account the performance of the applicant in their 10+2 or equivalent exam.

For admission to any course in Siddhinath Mahavidyalaya, the candidates should have passed their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board. Though the cut-off percentages for different courses may differ, the college in general considers the aggregate marks secured in the qualifying examination.

Degree wise Admission Process

BA (Bachelor of Arts): Siddhinath Mahavidyalaya provides BA courses with different specializations. The general BA course has an intake capacity of 111 seats. For BA Honours courses, the college provides specializations in Bengali (69 seats), Sanskrit (69 seats), Education (69 seats), History (60 seats), English (60 seats), and Philosophy (49 seats). Admission to these courses is made on the basis of marks scored in the respective subjects in the 10+2 examination.

BSc (Bachelor of Science): The college offers BSc courses with various specializations. The general BSc course has an intake capacity of 38 seats. For BSc Honours, specializations are available in Geography (38 seats), Mathematics (27 seats), Physics (11 seats), and Chemistry (11 seats). Admission to BSc courses is generally on the basis of the performance of the candidate in science subjects in their 10+2 examination, giving special consideration to the subject of specialization.
